Hunter Gallery Bury St Edmund's

The Hunter Gallery was first established in Coconut House, Hall Street, Long Melford, Suffolk in 2001 and the gallery was within an imposing Victorian building with large bright and airy rooms which lent a homely ambience to their eclectic range of art and the Hunter Gallery has prided itself on the high standard of work from a wide variety of artists, sculptors, and furniture makers. Around 2017 it moved to 31 Angel Hill in Bury St Edmunds, between The Abbey Gardens and St Edmundsbury Cathedral. They exhibit well-known local artists from Suffolk, Norfolk, and Essex alongside some of the UK's most respected creators of paintings, sculpture, and furniture. They specialise in art for the home in a wide range of styles and media with something to suit all tastes and budgets. They stock the work of many leading artists, including Caroline Bailey (1953-), Harry Brioche (1965-), Alexander Debenham, Mark Eldred (1964-), Peter Heard (1939-), Edward Noott (1965-), Alfredo Palmero (1966-), Huw Williams (1968-), and many others. Other Suffolk artists who exhibited with the Hunter Gallery include Lillias August, Deborah Burrow, Maxine Cameron, Patrick Elder, Roy Freer, Margaret Glass, Tessa Shedley Jordan, Karen Sarah Johnston Keable, John Nichol, Julie Noad, Peter Partington, Ashley Saunders, Halima Washington-Dixon and Claire Weeks.
