Ashley Timothy Saunders was born at Cambridge in 1986, son of Timothy P. Saunders and his wife Deidre M. née McCarthy, who married at Thurrock, Essex in 1978. Having enjoyed art as a child, it has been a large part of his life. Now living in Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk, Ashley creates original artwork of quirky farmyard and country animals. A self-taught artist inspired by the beautiful Suffolk countryside as well as his love of the The Lakes. He regularly holidays in the Lake District where Ashley finds the perfect opportunity to get inspiration for his work with all the beautiful wildlife and calm surroundings. His pieces are created using acrylic paint on canvas capturing the soul and beauty of all the animals he paints giving each one character and elegance. He exhibits with the Hunter Gallery in Bury St Edmund's.
