Maxine Cameron

Maxine R. Cameron, studied at the Norwich School of Art under John Lessore (born 1939) and John Wonnacott (born 1940), being awarded the Sir Winston Churchill prize for most promising student and was a one-year exchange student at École Des Beaux Arts de Nimes, France. She now lives and works at Sudbury in Suffolk and, using oil on canvas, concentrates on her wildlife paintings and expressionistic landscapes. Her works are bold, stylish, and empathetic, evoking both a sense of drama and quiet engagement, like a ripple through time surprising us at each viewing and has recently concentrated on a series of outdoor landscape drawings, using ink on paper. Max has exhibited widely including in numerous galleries and public forums in Scotland also throughout East Anglia, including the Hunter Gallery in Bury St Edmund's and in London, New York & France and her work is held in numerous private collections.
