CAMBRIDGE CONTEMPORARY ART
Cambridge Contemporary Art since opening in 1990, have gained a reputation for extensive ranges of high quality work and innovative exhibitions of local, national, and international artists. Specialising in handmade prints, paintings, sculptures and crafts, the gallery shows the work of over 100 UK-based artists, with a new exhibition every month. Situated nearby to King's College, the gallery is in the heart of the beautiful, historic University city. Selected by the Crafts Council for the national list of craft shops and galleries, Cambridge Contemporary Art is part of the nationwide Own Art scheme, which is designed to make it simple and affordable to buy original, high quality contemporary art and craft. The gallery atmosphere is open and welcoming to all visitors. Suffolk artists who have exhibited with Cambridge Contemporary Art include Samantha Barnes, Penny Bhadresa, Deborah Burrow, Arabella Crum-Ewing, Clare Curtis, Virginia Dowe-Edwards, Brin Edwards, Emma Green, Diane Griffiths, Moira Hazel, Sara Johnson, Elaine Nason, Christopher Penny, Nicholas Pratt and Tracy Rees.
