PRATT, Nicholas
Nicholas D. Pratt was born at Willesdon, London in 1952, son of David A. Pratt and his wife Geraldine Elsie née Fitzgerald (1923-6 January 2011), who married at Winchester in 1947. Nicholas studied at Kingston College of Art, and animation and sculpture at Guildford School of Art 1970-1973 and then completed a sculpture degree at West Surrey College of Art & Design. He married in 1984, painter Emily Whalley and they moved to Southwold, Suffolk where he lived and worked with his wife. Unfortunately, their studio at 51 Ferry Road, Southwold, where they had lived with their children for over 30 years, was destroyed by fire in October 2013 and they moved to 3 Easton Lane, Southwold, Suffolk. He has exhibited widely with solo shows at Piers Feetham Gallery, London and in Suffolk at The Cut Halesworth and Halesworth Gallery at Steeple End, Halesworth; Buckenham Galleries in Southwold and at Chappel Galleries in Essex. He has also exhibited at the Miami Beach Art Fair; Redfern Gallery, London; Cambridge Contemporary Art; Gainsborough's House Museum and Gallery, Sudbury and elsewhere. He latterly lived at 51 Ferry Road, Southwold, Suffolk.
