BRANGWYN, Naomi

1953 - ?

Naomi Brangwyn studied art at Reading School of Art and Islington Institute for Arts, later taking up textiles and photography, and in 2001 was introduced to stained glass, and although she continues to work using the traditional techniques, she introduced other materials and has developed her own distinctive style. A member of the Contemporary Glass Society, Naomi's work is regularly exhibited in East Anglia, in exhibitions and in art galleries in Southwold, Suffolk, Cambridge and in Buckinghamshire, plus a steady stream of commissioned work for hanging panels, windows, and doors. Each glass panel is ready to hang; in a window, where it will constantly change with the moving light of the time of day, weather and season; or against a plain wall where it can also be enjoyed in daylight or reflected light after the curtains are closed. All work is signed by the artist. A member of Suffolk Open Studios from 30 Central Road, Leiston, Suffolk and her glass is available at Southwold Gallery; Cambridge Contemporary Art and elsewhere.
