BARNES, Samantha
Samantha Ann Barnes was born at Winchester, Hampshire in 1971, daughter of Graham Keith Barnes (29 May 1943-11 July 2020) and his wife Patricia M. née Stott, who married at Winchester in 1965. Samantha studied at Winchester and in 1994 graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in textile, illustration and humanities and has been a practising artist ever since, with an extended break to open her own gallery 'The Pond' on Clapham Common in South London. As Samantha Barnes, she married in London in 2004, Carl P. C. Stickley and they have two children. An artist whose work is all about her love of drawing, animals, born with a quick drawing hand and a large sense of humour, Samantha has had a solo show in Harrods and sells her work both as prints and originals. She had her studio at 3 Ipswich Road, Woodbridge, Suffolk, where she joined the team at Art Safari Ltd where she organised art events in and around Woodbridge & Suffolk. She has exhibited at The Artists Retreat, Woodbridge; Snape Galleries, Suffolk; Cambridge Contemporary Art; Maltings Gallery, Snape, Suffolk; Tallentyre Gallery, Northumberland; Affordable Art Fair, Battersea; 'Art on the Prom' at Felixstowe, Suffolk and elsewhere she also sells her work directly.
