Snape Maltings Gallery is a gallery dedicated to local and East Anglian paintings, ceramics, sculptures and jewellery. The Maltings Gallery at Snape Maltings is a treasure box of wonderful finds from Suffolk and further afield. From the paintings of the celebrated Maggi Hambling created in her studio just a few miles away, to new work from up-and-coming printmakers based in local villages, there is something there for every budget. Britten Pears Arts’ visual art programme offers an exciting schedule of exhibitions, events, residencies and learning opportunities. Drawing on therich history of art activity, and shared across our two destinations, Britten and Pears’ original art collection is firmly at our core. At The Red House in Aldeburgh the Kitchen Gallery houses an annual programme of art exhibitions, whilst the house and garden show revolving displays of the 1400+ artworks from Britten Pears Arts Collection.They work continually to introduce new creative talents as well as showcasing nationally-collected local artists. Snape Maltings Galleries are housed within the Snape Maltings complex amongst cafes, boutiques, food hall, homewares store, restaurant, and world-famous concert hall. The Maltings site includes sculptures by Jocelyn Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975), Tracey Karima Emin (1963-), Gary Hume (1962-), Sarah Lucas (1962-), Alison Mary Wilding (1948-) and Henry Spencer Moore (1898-1986). New talents including Jelly Green, Jason Gathorne-Hardy and Gillian Draper. There are more than 150 Suffolk artists who have exhibited at Snape Maltings Galleries.

Building Seven the artist Alison Mary Wilding (7 July 1948-) has works that are situated in Building Seven, notably the 2003 work 'Terrestrial'.

Dovecote Studio a contemporary artist residency and event space, a music and arts campus, founded by composer Benjamin Britten and associated with Britten Pears Arts. Designed by Haworth Tompkins, it occupies the ruins of a Victorian dovecot, with a modern, welded Corten steel structure inserted within the existing brick walls to serve as the internal volume. The studio provides an inspiring environment for artists and musicians, featuring a north light window for natural illumination and offering long views over the marshes and sea, creating a unique space for both creative work and cultural events.

Gallery 21 the Suffolk Craft Society held their 2026 exhibition at Gallery 21 and the Dovecote Studio.

Marland Gallery
The Lettering Arts Centre, often associated with curator Eric Marland, is a specialised gallery located within the Snape Maltings complex. It serves as a dedicated space for contemporary lettering and commemorative arts, curated by the Lettering & Commemorative Arts Trust. Noted in 1985 exhibiting the works of Moss Fuller and Michael Carlo

Pond Gallery can be hired on a weekly basis and forma a key part of the array of visual art on offer at Snape Maltings. The Pond gallery is an upstairs gallery situated mid site, opposite the Concert Hall complex. There is the main gallery plus a smaller side room and both can be used as exhibition space. It come with hook and rod hanging system, credit card machine, desk, tables, wi-fi access. The Pond Gallery also has a range of plinths for use. The bookings run from Thursday to Wednesday and the exhibition programme runs from April to October. Exhibitions include a wide variety of work from artists and craft groups. It also hosts part of the Festival Exhibition events programme during June. The gallery has easy parking nearby.

Quay Gallery can be hired on a weekly basis and form a key part of the array of visual art on offer at Snape Maltings. The Quay gallery is a ground floor space situated near the entrance to the site on the Quayside, flooded with natural light and has its own kitchen and toilet area. Exhibition programme. Exhibitions are weekly run from March to December and include a wide variety of work including ceramics, craft, glass, mixed media works, paintings, prints, textile, sculpture, and wood craft. The gallery has easy parking nearby.

Winch Gallery at Snape Maltings is open Monday through Sunday, featuring free entry to exhibitions of contemporary art for sale. Current exhibitions include a rotating selection of artists such as Brigitte Girling and Ruth Simpson.
