ART FOR CURE
Art For Cure was founded Belinda Gray and is now a successful national charity, raising money for specific breast cancer research projects and grant funding to support services for those affected by breast cancer in our location of East Anglia. Belinda, a cancer sufferer, was motivated to raise money for research and with no experience of selling art, hosted an art and sculpture exhibition in her home and gardens raising an astonishing £100k in a weekend. Art For Cure was registered as a non-profit, national charity with an all-volunteer team of ten trustees' team of medics and professional financiers, and a pool of exhibition volunteers. They have staged many exhibitions in private venues in Suffolk, including Glemham Hall, Somerleyton Hall and Helmingham Hall as well as Bankside Gallery next to Tate Modern in London selling over £3 millions of art and sculpture with donations well exceeding £1.3 million. They have charity partnered the Affordable Art Fair in London, been commended by Downing Street, won Suffolk awards and appeared in 'Vogue'. Along with grant-funding donations more locally in East Anglia with supporting services of counselling, nutrition, post-surgical exercise classes, chemotherapy relief packs and more we help ensure their journey through and after treatment is a little smoother. Their 2024 exhibition was held at Ballroom Arts, Aldeburgh, Suffolk. Suffolk artists who have exhibited with Art For Cure include Cathy Outen, Sarah Muir Poland, Anna Toppin and Simon Turner.
