GOOD, Christopher
Christopher C. M. Good, spent three years at Art school completing a foundation year and then studying graphic design in the early 1980s, then spent a decade in the 1990s working in London at top end restaurants as a waiter and front of house manager. Around the year 2000, he moved to East Anglia when its natural landscape inspired him to start to draw again. A visit to Germany proved another catalyst where he lost any inhibitions to work in the streets with charcoal and pencil, capturing all around him and he returned often to these streets immersing himself in his studies and development. Two small exhibitions followed with subsequent sales and commissions enabling him to travel to France and Italy to draw and study 2003-2004 and in 2005 spent a month in Venice. In 2008 he settled in Woodbridge, Suffolk and, painting in oils and pastels, discovering and exploring a more contemporary way of painting where colour and texture is more important than true representation working towards a semi-abstract and a looser style of working. He has exhibited at the Steel Rooms, 1-5 Springs Parade, Brigg, North Lincolnshire; Art for Cure at Glemham Hall, Suffolk and elsewhere.
