Sarah Muir Poland

As Sarah Helen Muir Crombie, she was born at Westminster, London in 1974, daughter of Ian Henry Crombie (25 February 1931-9 December 2011) and his wife Mary née O'Connor, who married at Hamilton Terrace, Marylebone, London in 1955. Sarah married at Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire in 1984, Simon Devas Poland (13 August 1952-10 March 2003), a solicitor, and they had three children. Sarah Muir Poland, became a colourist painter, inspired by the colours of East Anglia where she lives part of the year and she also paints portraits and still life flowers. Her debut exhibition at Aldeburgh, Suffolk in 2015 was highly successful, followed by a further show in Aldeburgh in 2018, which was sold out. She was invited to join over 90 artists taking part in 'Art for Cure' in April 2016 and in May 2018 at Glemham Hall, Suffolk. In addition she took part in the SHE exhibition held at the Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh in 2017 and has also exhibited elsewhere in the UK and abroad and has taken several commissions and her work is widely collected. She was Artist in Residence with Cunard on the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2018, to paint and lecture in the Art of Colour. Sarah was selected to exhibit as part of the Society of Women Artists (SWA) in September 2018 at the Mall Gallery in London.
