OLD GOODS SHED CLARE
Stour Studio at Clare Country Park Centre, the Victorian Goods Shed has a new life as a unique exhibition, meeting, and reception venue. Fully refurbished in 2019, the Old Goods Shed provides modern facilities and easy access within an original Victorian railway building. In the shadow of a medieval motte and a stones throw from a beautiful river walk, the Old Goods Shed is a landmark in the historic Suffolk medieval town of Clare. Exhibitors include Clare Art Club; Federico Baca; Angela Jean Hall; Shaun Hinton; Geoffrey Marsters; Fiona Scheibl; Wendy Theobald and Dominica Yannaghas.
'Art in the Shed' is an exhibition of original paintings & cards by six friends who all live in East Anglia who show at the The Old Goods Yard. The first exhibition was in 2001 and the 2026 exhibition included artists
Jenny Banbury works in mixed media and is fascinated by shapes and lines in the landscape.
Helen Day works with oils and acrylics, semi abstract landscapes and still life.
Carol Goodchild works in watercolours, painting landscapes.
Stuart Hurworth works in watercolours in paintings of wildlife, birds & animals.
Jenny May works mainly in acrylics and has developed her own distinctive style.
Elaine Purcell works in acrylics in an impressionist style and also works with watercolour & mixed media.
