Clare Art Club was founded around 1990 by its then President, Irene Corless. A long-standing club with a diverse membership of local artists. The Club holds monthly meetings, currently at The Bell Hotel in Clare. Each month, a visiting professional artist demonstrates a particular style or medium to teach and inspire artists. These monthly demonstrations, which are free to members, are open to visitors for a small fee. The club holds an annual Arts and Crafts Exhibition in the Clare Town Hall and at the Stour Studio at Clare Country Park, where members are invited to exhibit their latest works.
