EATON, Sue

As Susan Elizabeth Beck, she married at Epping, Essex in 1969, Anthony Eaton and paints under the name of Sue Eaton. A self-taught artist, with a studio which she built in 2010 at Vincent's Cottage, Clare Road, Hundon, Sudbury, Suffolk, which is a large oak-frame building adjacent her home in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. A professional artist and is a member of the Clare Art Club, the Society of East Anglian Watercolourist, the Cambridge Drawing Society and the Suffolk Art Society and her paintings have been selected several times for The Society of Women Artists exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London. A contemporary painter, collage, mixed media on canvas, painting in acrylic but also works in pastel and watercolour, most of her work is painted on surfaces she has textured, making them particularly suitable for her tree paintings and the introduction of her unique contemporary works of art inspired by the natural world, paintings on aluminium. Sue is a full member of the Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at Hundon and exhibits with several art galleries, organisations, and exhibitions each year and exhibits in London and East Anglia. Working from her large studio has enabled her to paint larger works of art, display some of her works and run small workshops for either individuals or small groups and Sue also takes commission work.
