Shaun Robert Hinton was born at West Bromwich, Staffordshire in 1973, son of John R Hinton and his wife Maureen N Payne. His artistic journey has deep roots in the comic books of the 1970s West Bromwich, where he worked as a paperboy having access to a treasure trove of illustrated adventures. He moved to Felixstowe, Suffolk and his artistic career commenced when he was in his mid-fifties by joining the Felixstowe Art Group when he began exhibiting his work. He works in watercolour and ink, specialising in urban scenes and early influences have shaped his quirky, fanciful style of art. He exhibits with the Felixstowe Art Group, St Mary's Church Debenham, Clare Country Park, Art on the Prom, and elsewhere.
