Baca Federico

Federico Baca, was born in in Argentina and spent his days growing up in the foothills of the Andes, connected with nature. Following a degree in graphic design in Buenos Aires is now a full-time artist working with print, paintings and mixed media and has travelled extensively including to Europe via Moscow and being particularly inspired by India, Nepal and the Far East and, after a time with a garden studio in Leytonstone, East London is now living in the Suffolk countryside at Trundalls, Water Lane, Denston and is a member of both the Cambridge and Suffolk Open Studios. Federica has eclectic interests, with a flexible approach to his work that involves printmaking, drawing, painting and other mixed media responses. Through his travels, was inspired by nature and diverse artists including Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000), Xul Solar (1887-1963), Antony Gormley (born 1950), Italo Calvino (1923-1985) and Jan Švankmajer (born 1934). He has exhibited at Stour Studio at Clare Country Park Centre, Suffolk; Southbank Printmakers, London and elsewhere. He has also illustrated 'Pip the Pony' by Zandra Johnson (2012).
