Baca Federico

Federico Baca, was born in in Argentina and spent his days growing up in the foothills of the Andes, connected with nature. Following a degree in graphic design in Buenos Aires is now a full-time artist working with print, paintings and mixed media and has travelled extensively including to Europe via Moscow, being particularly inspired by India, Nepal and the Far East and, after a time with a garden studio in Leytonstone, East London, is now living in the Suffolk countryside at Trundalls, Water Lane, Denston and is a member of both the Cambridge and Suffolk Open Studios. Federico has eclectic interests, with a flexible approach to his work that involves printmaking, drawing, painting and other mixed media responses. Through his travels was inspired by nature and diverse artists including Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000), Xul Solar (1887-1963), Antony Gormley (born 1950), Italo Calvino (1923-1985) and Jan Švankmajer (born 1934). He has exhibited at Stour Studio at Clare Country Park Centre, Suffolk; Southbank Printmakers, London and elsewhere. He has also illustrated 'Pip the Pony' by Zandra Johnson (2012).
