HEART OF SUFFOLK EXHIBITION

2016 - ?

Thorpe Morieux Village Hall

The Heart of Suffolk exhibition at Thorpe Morieux Village Hall was founded around 2016 when Rebecca Moss Guyver contacted seven of her favourite Suffolk painters, a handful of potters and a jeweller to put on an exhibition at the Thorpe Morieux Village Hall. Since then, the exhibition, Heart of Suffolk, has become a fixture in the art and social calendar of many in surrounding villages and beyond. Over the past ten years the show has featured and sold work by as many as twenty-four artists over a weekend, and it has raised more than £10,000 for local charities. It has been a success because the work they exhibit is of an excellent standard; everyone involved is professional and Thorpe Morieux is something of an art hub for the area. Suffolk artists who have exhibited at the Heart of Suffolk exhibition include Cathy D'Arcy; Judith Glover; Nicola Gooch; Talitha Hart; Jocelyn Hollis; Barry Lowenhoff; Douglas Page; Lucy Perry; Lucy Scott; Ruth Simpson and many others.
