SCOTT, Lucy
Lucy Olivia Gordon Scott was born at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. Lucy has spent half her life in England and half in Australia, where she worked running art studios in remote desert communities. In 2018 she returned to Suffolk to study for a Master's degree in illustration and book arts. Her practice is multidisciplinary with roots in abstract expressionism and an aesthetic influenced by minimalism which encourages space for the quiet and tender. She uses materials and pigments gathered from her surrounding landscape which maintains an intimate conversation with her environment. She has a studio based in Lavenham and can often be found exploring the surrounding countryside. She exhibits with the Heart of Suffolk Exhibition and with A2ARTS at Bildeston.
