Amanda Edgcombe

Amanda Victoria Townsend studied at Nottingham Trent Polytechnic for her B.A. Painting; Central School of Arts and Crafts receiving a Caroline Swash Fellowship in architectural Glass, and Slade School of Fine Art for a Master's of Fine Arts and a Master's in Print Naking. Amanda has been a self-employed artist since 1995 and has worked for architects and designers, including as an image researcher for international architects and has been a visiting artist at Ipswich School of Art and Printroom Studio, Sweffling, Suffolk. She married in 2002 Christopher Paul Edgcombe and in 2010 Amanda and her husband Chris took over the space at Pangea Gallery at Yoxford, Suffolk renovating and redesigning it as an interior architecture showroom and gallery Collingwood Cotehele Design. Amanda is a painter printmaker working in varied media and has exhibited at the Printroom Studio; Flowers Gallery; Courtauld Institute of Art; Norwich Castle Museums and Art Galleries; Mandell’s Gallery and Fairhurst Gallery; Snape Maltings Galleries and elsewhere. Her work is in several private collections.
