GOOD, Lamorna Alice
As Lamorna Alice St Aubyn, she was born in London on 11 February 1944, daughter of Roger St Aubyn and his wife, Sophie Helene, Baronin von Puthon, second daughter of Col. Baron von Puthon of Scholss Mirabell, Salsburg, who married at the Chapel of Our Lady of Walsingham, Warrens, Bramshaw, New Forest, Hampshire in May 1939. Lamorna read English at the University of London and Fine Arts Valuation at Southampton Institute before entering the Heatherley School of Fine Art. She married firstly on 16 January 1965, Captain David Julian Cotton, son of Sir John Richard Cotton and they had one daughter, Caroline Mary Sophie Cotton, born 20 February 1966, she and Captain Cotton were divorced in 1983. She married secondly in 1984, Peregrine Edward Grenfell Lort-Phillips (1937-1988), son of Captain Raymond Lort-Phillips and Violet Susan May St Aubyn. She married thirdly in 1990, Michael Frankland Good and paints as Lamorna Good. An artist based at 4 Victoria Road, Aldeburgh, Suffolk and in France and is interested in painting feelings and ideas and the use colour to convey an emotional response to the subject, coupled with a sense of atmosphere and mystery. A member and a regular exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Society and has also exhibited at Thompson's Gallery, Aldeburgh; Aldeburgh Gallery; Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh; Aldeburgh Beach Lookout Arts Club, Caroline Wiseman Modern and Contemporary; Aldeburgh Studio Trail and at the Parallax Art Fair, Chelsea and elsewhere.
