Lowestoft Arts Centre with Peter Knight, the proprietor, exploring his love of original Lowestoft porcelain and commenced the business in 2000, employing local, gifted people to produce the much-admired heritage range. Lowestoft Arts Centre is now a non-profit making volunteer community initiative formed to promote the arts in the Lowestoft area and is run by volunteers and provides an art & crafts gallery & studio for teaching. Their premises are at 13 St Peter's St, Lowestoft. Membership is just £10 per year and entitles members to have a say in the running of the Centre, take part in Centre activities and use its facilities. Amongst other things it entitles members to exhibit up to three works of art in the gallery. Suffolk artists who have exhibited at the Lowestoft Arts Centre include Malcolm Cudmore, Anthony Giltrow, Rebeccah Giltrow, Carole Kemp, Marie Limb, Cynthia Monteret, Suzi Pye, Brigitte Quennehen, Carolyn Reeder, Ellie Sedgwick and Madge Williams.
