GILTROW, Rebeccah
Rebeccah May J. Giltrow was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1982, daughter of Anthony Giltrow and his wife Carol née Wilson. She graduated from the University of Essex in 2005 with a B.A. (hons) in English Language & Literature, proceeding in 2008 with an M.A. Literature in Creative Writing, working under authors and university lecturers, Maria Cristina Fumagalli (born 1964), authors Philip Terry (born 1962), and Marina Warner (born 1945). Since graduating, Rebeccah has written amongst others a collection of twenty-six lipogramatic short stories 'Betwixt the Cup and The Lip', a collection of twelve Christmas stories 'Twelve Days of Krista May Rose' and a full-length novel 'Lexa Wright’s Dating Sights' as well as her first children's book 'The Adventures of Lily and Hudson'. Rebeccah is a writer by trade, with skills in English as a Foreign Language teaching, performing, photography, and painting. In 2002 she was living at 197 Church Road, Lowestoft, with her parents Anthony and Carol Giltrow and is an active member of Lowestoft Library Writing Group and in September 2012 set up at Lowestoft Library a writing group for young writers, aged between 11 and 17 and in 2014 set up Kessingland Library Creative Writing Group. Rebeccah produces visual art and takes photographs, paints, and makes collages. Her work has been shown at the Halesworth Gallery; the Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield; Lowestoft Arts Centre and Kessingland Library.
