Sandy Horsley studied at Norwich University of the Arts for a B.A. in Illustration and after a career in magazine publishing, returned to university at the Cambridge School of Art for a master's in Children's Book Illustration. Sandy is an illustrator, printmaker and ceramicist based in Suffolk with drawing, printmaking, illustration, picture books, ceramics, and artist's books all featuring in Sally's practice and in her illustration work she combines traditional printmaking and drawing with digital processes. In her commission for Suffolk Libraries she was drawing on location over the course of a year, capturing everyday ‘unseen moments’. Sandy exhibited at the International Mini Print Exhibition in 2017 at Wingfield Barns, Suffolk and exhibits nationally and internationally including with the Royal Watercolour Society at the Bankside Gallery, London and in Bologna, Italy also locally with the Southwold Art Circle and at Aldeburgh Gallery; Bell Gallery, Bungay; Norwich Castle Museums and Art Galleries; The Art House, Castle Street, Worcester and elsewhere. Sandy was on the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize Shortlist in 2023 and was the Bologna Book Fair Indie Jacket Award Winner in 2024.
