Roehampton University

Roehampton Institute of Higher Education, is now the University of Roehampton, a public university situated on three major sites in Roehampton, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The University was founded in the 19th century and consisted of four institutions, Whitelands College founded in 1841, Southlands College founded in 1872. Digby Stuart College founded in 1874 and Froebel College founded in 1892. In 2004, Roehampton became an independent university, and in 2011, it was renamed the University of Roehampton. Roehampton's faculties include the Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Life and Health Sciences and Faculty of Psychology. Suffolk artists who studied at Roehampton include Hilary Barry, Philippa Bewley-Pope, Susan Hufton, Clara Stannard Setterfield and Debbie Wendt.
