PATTINSON, Laura
Laura Ellen Pattinson was born at Ipswich in 1992, daughter of Mark L. Pattinson and his wife Louise née Spall, who lived at Felixstowe, Suffolk and where they married in 1991. Laura completed her education in Ipswich and went on to study architecture in London but returned home to Felixstowe for an Art Foundation course at Suffolk College in Ipswich before returning to study at Goldsmiths College in London for her B.A. (hons) in Fine Art in 2016 and at University College London (UCL) Institute of Education for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and is currently (2021) Head of Design at Alde Valley Academy in Suffolk. Laura works in a variety of media, from painting to photography and when painting explores a visceral reaction to the work of nostalgia and melancholia. She has exhibited at Art on the Prom; Asylum Studios and Gallery 142 at Felixstowe and at the Art Station, Saxmundham.
