BRADSHAW, Hazel
Hazel J. Bradshaw was born at Sudbury, Suffolk in 1962, daughter of Charles William Bradshaw (1923-16 August 1979), a farmer, and his wife Mary E. née Keeble (25 February 1932-), who married at Sudbury in 1959. Hazel trained in Illustration and Graphics at Ipswich School of Art 1979–1983 and on leaving worked as a jewellery-maker, whilst studying for a City and Guilds of London Art School in Enamelling, Chasing and Repossue at the John Cash School of Science & Art. A Suffolk artist and tutor, Hazel Bradshaw creates a diverse range of art, using paint, felt, fabric, pastel, and other media being inspired by nature and her surroundings and from the patterns and textures around her. In 2011, she founded Brook Farm Studio at Bildeston, Suffolk which is an inspirational space dedicated to helping people find and develop their creativity. She has regular art exhibitions also runs regular classes in painting, felting and textiles, figurative drawing, and a craft group in which a variety of subjects and techniques are explored. Hazel is as member of Artworks also a full member of Suffolk Open Studios and has exhibited at The Bury St Edmund's Farmers Club; Sudbury Arts Centre; Quay Gallery at Snape Maltings; Artworks East; Blackthorpe Barn; Art on the Prom at Felixstowe and elsewhere.
