WANG-KEMP, Lanyu
Lanyu Wang-Kemp was born in Manchuria, China winning the city prize for painting. During her working years as a scientist, her painting lay dormant but re-flowered after taking early retirement to Lowestoft, Suffolk. A member of the Great Yarmouth & District Society of Artists and an enthusiastic painter of animals and landscapes, exhibiting locally and in Cambridge, winning the Leisure Painters best picture award in the 2004 Lowestoft Art Group exhibition, the watercolour award at the Beccles Society of Artists exhibition in 2006 and selected as 'Artist of the Month' at Snape Maltings Galleries in 2005. She has also exhibited at Norwich Castle Museums and Art Galleries in 2008 and regularly at Southwold, Suffolk from her studio at 15 Sanctuary Close, Kessingland, Lowestoft, Suffolk.
