Theronda Hoffman

Theronda Goussard Hoffman was born in South Africa in 1965. She studied at Spier Art School, Stellenbosh, South Africa gaining a B.A. degree in psychology and history and completed a full graphic course under Ian Tainton (born 1955), which included etching, aquatint, linocuts, monoprints and lithography. In 1989 she commenced work as a full-time artist and travelled extensively to broaden her outlook. Theronda's work has been influenced by Picasso and Chagall maturing into a colour filled expressionistic realism. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in South Africa and exhibits extensively in the UK including the Royal Albert Hall, London; Art On the Prom, Felixstowe; Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham; Ottewill Art Gallery, Bury St Edmund's; Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh; Mall Gallery, London; Upstairs Gallery, Beccles; Ipswich Town Hall Gallery; Aldeburgh Gallery, Aldeburgh; the Wolsey Art Gallery at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; Buckenham Galleries, Southwold and many others and donated to the 'Westhall Secret Postcard Auction' in 2013 an acrylic 'Poppies on the Beach, Aldeburgh' and in 2014 'Poppyfields-Waldringfield'. Her work is currently in private collections in Canada, France, Italy, Chicago, London, and Germany. She is the owner of Kesgrave Arts.
