ALMOND, Alan
Alan J Almond was born on 4 July 1951, son of Kenneth Almond (27 April 1921-) and his wife Irene (10 March 1919-). Alan worked in the TV and film industry as a cinematographer and was known for his atmospheric lighting. He married at East Retford in Nottinghamshire in 1972 Jacqueline S Poynter who is an artist who works as Jackie Almond and they lived at Rectory Cottage, The Street, Bessingham, Norfolk, their daughter is Lisa Almond. Since leaving the film industry Alan is now a full time painter and is a member of Walberswick Open Studios and exhibits at the Aldeburgh Gallery and elsewhere. His work attempts to explore the relationship between people and the nature that surrounds them.
