MANOR HOUSE MUSEUM BURY ST EDMUNDS
The Manor House Museum, on Honey Hill, Bury St Edmund's is a Georgian mansion which has been restored to its 18th century glory, housing collections of horology and fine and decorative art. The Manor House was a Public Museum from 1993 until 2006 where one could discover clocks, watches, paintings, furniture, costumes, ceramics, and objets d'art from the seventeenth to the twentieth century. Its collections have now been moved into the Moyse's Hall Museum and in 2007 it was sold for use as a private house again. There was a changing programme of events and exhibitions and Suffolk artists whose works have been exhibited at The Manor House Museum include Dale Devereux Barker and Phyllis Harrap. Alex Perry ran Summer Workshops at the Manor House Museum and was Keeper of Costume in the Museum 2002-2006.
