1779 - 1846

As Lady Jane Butler, she was born on 1 August 1779, daughter of James Butler, 9th Baron Cahir and his wife Sarah née Nichols. Jane married, as his second wife, on 28 October 1815, Baron Manners (1756-1842) of Foston, co. Lincolnshire. From about 1827 they lived at The Grove, Yoxford, Suffolk but later moved to Fornham Hall, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. As Lady Manners of Yoxford she was an art pupil of Henry Bright [q.v.] sometime during his London period 1836-1856. Lady Manners died at Fornham Hall on 3 November 1846.
