JOHN MARTIN GALLERY
The John Martin Gallery at First Floor, 38 Albemarle Street, London was opened in 1992 and has represented the work of contemporary and modern British artists as well as artist estates for over several years. The gallery has participated in numerous art fairs in Europe and the US and has collaborated on exhibitions with public institutions including Leeds Art Gallery; Penlee House Gallery & Museum, Penzance; Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art; Fruitmarket, Edinburgh and the Victoria and Albert Museum. John Martin also founded Cromwell Place, a new location for international and UK-based galleries, curators, and art institutions. The gallery uses Cromwell Place to present new artists, large-scale exhibitions and uses the Member spaces for meetings and administration. Suffolk artists who have exhibited with John Martin Gallery include Peter Burman, Richard Francis Hoare and Bob Rudd.
