An award winning artist, the interesting part of Rhonda Whitehead’s paintings is the way she manages to develop a language without falling prey to style, to the liturgy of modernist abstraction or indeed traditional figuration. Her paintings are very much about the phenomena of life, physical phenomena both visual and colourful. She has exhibited widely including at the Royal College of Art; Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; The London Group; Fermoy Gallery, Kings Lynn; Wells Art Centre, Norfolk; Mandells Gallery, Norwich; and in Suffolk at Halesworth Gallery; Buckenham Galleries, Southwold; Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham also abroad in Utrecht, Holland and Ostend, Belgium.
