Mike Tindall

Michael J. Tingle, was born at Skegness, Lincolnshire on 12 October 1954, son of Peter Tingle and his wife Kathleen Mary née Mugglestone, who married at Spilsby, Lincolnshire in 1947. Mike was educated mostly in Devon, he also studied at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham 1973-1976. He has lived in many places across the UK, including Suffolk, and he married at Chippenham, Wiltshire in 1976, Valerie A. Mawby and they lived at 29 Applegarth Road, Newton Abbot and is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. His preferred medium was copper plate etching involving fine lines, varied textures and much detail, however his current work in drypoint, and in embossing has become bolder and simpler but still retains that same humorous vision which has always captivated his audience. He has exhibited at Heffer Gallery, Cambridge; Printworks, Colchester; Gainsborough House, Sudbury; Market Cross Gallery, Bury St Edmund's; North House Gallery, Manningtree, Essex and many other galleries across the UK and has been selected for Royal Academy Summer exhibitions.
