PRINTWORKS
Printworks, a gallery specialising in printmaking, was opened in Colchester, Essex by artist Elly Robinson in 1988. In 2002 she moved to the Printworks Gallery at the Wivenhoe Business Centre, Brook Street, Essex where Wivenhoe Printworks is a community printmaking studio offering open access printmaking, courses and membership for beginners and experienced makers. They provide access to specialist equipment, practical teaching and a friendly, focused studio environment. Alongside studio access and teaching, they support printmaking through group exhibitions, member opportunities, talks and social events, helping to build an active and connected printmaking community. Suffolk artists who exhibited with Printworks include Dale Devereux Barker; Sara Muzira; Glynn Thomas and Michael Tingle.
