MUTCH, Gil

Gillian J. M. Mutch was born in the Southwest Surrey area in 1955. Gillian studied at Lowestoft College of Art in Suffolk 1983-1984 and then obtained her B.A. in Fine Art & Printmaking at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts 1984-1986 being awarded the Thames & Hudson Drawing First Prize 1987; East Anglian Artists Open Exhibition First Prize 1988 and winning the Norwich City Council Commission 1991, she also studied at the London College of Printing 1997-1989 and Kensington & Chelsea 1998-1999. A painter and draughtman with her landscapes tending towards abstraction and she has exhibited at South London Art Gallery; School House Gallery Wighton, Norfolk; Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions and the Chappel Galleries, Essex with solo shows at Lowestoft College of Art; Gallery House, 50 Baker Street, London; Warehouse Arts Collective, Suffolk; John Russell Gallery, Ipswich; Drella Gallery, Tuesley Manor, Godalming, Surrey; Unit 24 Gallery, 2 Bankside, 20 Great Guildford Street, London and elsewhere.
