As Brigitte Lisa Cant she was born in Suffolk in January 1968, eldest daughter of Michael J Cant and his wife Sheila R née Walsh, who married at Samford, Suffolk in 1966, she married in Deben, Suffolk in 1989, Stuart Paul Girling and paints as Brigitte Girling. Brigitte studied at the University of Exeter and was a freelance columnist for 'Country Homes & Interiors' magazine and founder of 'Moss & Stone Undone Florals' teaching her style of floral artistry to students from around the world. A self-taught intuitive semi abstract artist painting bold, colourful, quirky art, inspired by nature painting wild, tangled imagined landscapes alongside quieter, more whimsical, imagined still life. A member of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at Brook House, Bury Road, Rickinghall near Diss, Norfolk. Brigitte has exhibited at Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh; Aldeburgh Beach Lookout Arts Club; Snape Maltings Galleries; Artspace Woodbridge; Holton Lodge Barn, Suffolk; The Cut Halesworth; The Leaping Hare, Wyken Vinyards, Wyken House, Wyken Road, Stanton; Grundisburgh House Gallery; The Chair Gallery, 10 High Town, Hay-on-Wye; AKA Fine Art, The Studio, 54a Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge and elsewhere.
