Bookends Gallery at 1a Gaol Lane, Sudbury, Suffolk was opened by Julia Ann Prior in 2012. Bookends was a new gallery and art workshops, displaying local artist's work including those of Val-Irene Robertson of Halstead, Essex and in August 2012 organised an Arts Festival with an Art trail by local artists painting works placed about the town in prominent places each displaying their own unique style but this Festival was cancelled owing to lack of sponsorship although they had the backing of Gainsborough's House Museum and Gallery. Suffolk artists who exhibited at Bookends include Michelle Ranson and Frances Vincent. This gallery is now closed
