FAMOUS OLD HOUSE GALLERY
Famous Old House Gallery in Hall Street, Long Melford, Suffolk was housed in a timber-framed building dating back around five hundred years. The grade II listed property is owned by Colin Fletcher was carefully restored and upgraded to create a stunning setting for fine paintings, bronze sculpture, and other unique and distinctive works of art from around the world and was officially opened by snooker star Dennis Taylor (1949-) in 2015. British fine art is typically represented by highly regarded and collectable artists such as Edward Seago, Sidney Richard Percy, Cecil Kennedy (1905-1997), Edgar Hunt (1876-1955), Sir Alfred Munnings, Sir Edward John Poynter, Edward Ladell, Sir John Alfred Arnesby Brown and Clive Madgwick. The French artists include Edouard Léon Cortès (1882–1969), Eugène Galien-Laloue (1854–1941), Antoine Bouvard (1882-1956), Antoine Blanchard (Marcel Masson 1910–1988) and many others. This gallery is permanently closed.
