COPSEY, Helen Dorothy
Helen Dorothy Copsey was born on 28 July 1888, daughter of Charles Edward Copsey and his wife Helen, née Beaumont, who married at St Pancras, London in 1873. She studied at the Regent Street Polytechnic 1905-1910 and at the Royal College of Art 1910-1912. A painter in watercolour and tempera she exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, New English Art Club, and the Society of Women Artists. In 1935 she was elected a member of the Women's International Art Club. Helen Dorothy Copsey died at 4 Middleton Road, Golders Green, London NW 11 on 14 January 1975, probate being granted at Ipswich on 4 March at £65,779, she was unmarried.
