Stephen Kirin

Stephen James Kirin was born in November 1966. In 1985 he studied on a foundation course at Braintree, Essex and fine art at Northeast London Polytechnic, now the University of East London, 1986-1989 graduating B.A. (hons). Stephen is a sculptor and painter in Suffolk, and he married in 2016 the acrylic landscape and seascape painter in East Sussex, Lorna Kirin née Holdsworth, who met at their London school, and they now collaborate on everyday art practice. Usually on paper and mixed media their work covers a wide range of subject matter from architecture and how humans interact within and amongst it right through to reimagined classical subject matter and everything in-between. They have exhibited in group and individual Gallery shows including the Angle Gallery, Bury St Edmunds; Gallery 142, Felixstowe; Pond Gallery at Snape Maltings and elsewhere and are represented by Bell Fine Art and London Contemporary Art. Members of the Suffolk Open Studios from The Old Workshop, Hengrave, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
