MUNTING, Becky
Rebecca Munting grew up in East Anglia and has a love for its native flora and fauna. Becky, as she is known, studied at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge 1995-1998, and graduated B.A. (hons) in History of Art. A wildlife artist working in oil paints and coloured pencils, being inspired by local animals and birds and although she represents the animals in a naturalistic way, she sometimes likes to add quirky twists and humour. Becky also produces 'cut-outs' which are hand drawn, hand cut from plywood, or board and painted with oil paint, of animals and birds. She was gallery manager at Buckenham Galleries in Southwold 2004-2014 and Festival Manager at Alde Valley Spring Festival from 2015. She exhibits her work locally including at Buckenham Galleries; Aldeburgh Gallery; the Bell Gallery, Bungay; Artspace Woodbridge and at Affordable Art Fair, London; Artdog Gallery, 23 Brockley Rise, London; Red Dot Gallery, Holt, Norfolk and works on commissions. Her work is in private collections both nationally and internationally. A former member of the Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at Lyndhurst, Bruisyard Road, Cransford, Framlingham, Suffolk.
