WITHERS, Emma
Emma Jane Withers studied at Hornsey College of Art, Middlesex University 1982 and, for her Masters in Fine Art, at Goldsmiths College, London 1988. Emma Withers works in all types of media specialising in trees which have a stillness and a silence and have the potential to approach eternity. Emma lives and works in Suffolk and has exhibited widely within the UK and has works in private and public collections. She married at Haringey, London in 1986, Philip Robbins and they co-founded Asylum Studios at Bentwaters, Woodbridge and she works from Low Road, Woodbridge, Suffolk and for over twenty-five years has a studio at Asylum Studios, from where she also exhibits. She has also exhibited at the Art Station, Saxmundham, Bank Arts Centre, Eye, and elsewhere.
