DRAYSON, Amy
Amelia Bernadette Drayson was born at Chelmsford, Essex in May 1969, daughter of Gilbert Keith Drayson (1941-20 October 2022) and his wife Janet A. née Bush (born 1941), who married at Brentwood, Essex in 1962. Amy is an artist of colourful paintings, linocuts, and screen prints, about houses and their account in their environment. After living in Colchester, Essex, about 2002 she came to Ipswich where she is a former member of Suffolk Open Studios from 82 Hervey Street, Ipswich and has exhibited with the Freudian Sheep Gallery; Halesworth Gallery; Art Station, Saxmundham and Grundisburgh House Gallery. Amy teaches adult art classes at the Ipswich Institute and at Pettistree Village Hall, students of all abilities. She is a founder member of Ipswich Green Party and stood as a candidate in the local elections in the town.
