BOON, Anna

As Anna Liddicoat, she married at Liskeard, Cornwall in 1988, Anthony N. Boon (born 1960) and paints under the name of Anna Boon. After a career in the travel industry, Anna settled in Suffolk and fulfilled her long held ambition to study art. Studying at Colchester School of Art, gaining a B.A. (hons) in Fine Art in 2008 and a Teaching Certificate in 2011. She paints in mixed media but is proficient in all media including drawing, printmaking and Anna Boon’s sculptures capture the ethereal beauty and movement of the figure. These unique, semi-abstract forms are created with fabric resin using recycled materials from those, some are made into limited editions in cold cast metals. Anna is a tutor in drawing and acrylic painting with weekly classes at her studio at 18 Heycroft Way, Nayland, Suffolk, also at St Mary's Church Hall, West Bergholt, and Nayland Village Hall. Anna exhibits extensively including at Hay Gallery, Colchester; Burts Gallery, London; Dray Walk Gallery, Brick Lane, London; Colchester Art Society; also, in Suffolk at Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham; Red House Yard, Thornham; Gallery 47, Sudbury; Freudian Sheep Gallery, Ipswich; Elsey's Gallery and Apex Gallery both in Bury St Edmund's. A founder of 'Paint Brush 'n Bubbles', at Quay Lane, Sudbury, a creative evening of painting and with no experience necessary as the session is fully led by local artist, Anna Boon with all equipment is provided.
