Amanda Kaye Walker was born in Yorkshire and in 1996 she married Edward A. Bell and works as Amanda Bell. Amanda studied at Ipswich Art School 1987-1989 under Ken Back and Richard Scott and, after gaining a Dip Art & Design, specialised in illustration at Cambridge Polytechnic, gaining a Higher National Diploma in 1992 and a teaching qualification in 2002 being awarded the Anna Airy award for her prints of Ecuador in 1992. An artist and teacher working in Halesworth, Suffolk and in Oxfordshire. She works in a variety of subjects, landscapes, figures, portraits, and still-life. Most her work is done directly on the site but may finish a piece in her studio. Her time is divided between painting and teaching at Woodbridge Art Club, also teaching at Chediston Art Group, Reydon Art Group and Westleton Art Group. A member of the Southwold Art Circle and has completed various commissions from a 9ft mural of Provence to several paintings of family pets for private collections. She has also painted individual portraits in pastel, charcoal, and oil.
