Ater his retirement he exhibited at the Assembly Rooms, Norwich and at the Buckenham Galleries, Southwold also exhibiting with local art groups, meeting with some success. During his time with the Lowestoft Group, he contributed to work evenings, demonstrations, and critics, serving several years on the Committee, and assisting in the hanging of numerous exhibitions before becoming chairman and an honorary member.
