McCARTHY, Peter

Peter McCarthy studied Composition of Art at Colchester Art School, Life Drawing and Childrens Book Illustration at Ipswich Art School and etching and printmaking at Suffolk College. A professional artist since 1985 working in oils and acrylics on canvas and board. He has exhibited at Annual Open Exhibition of drawings, Barbican Trust, London; University of Suffolk Neptune Marina, Ipswich; Cambridge ArtWORKS Open; Suffolk Showcase Smiths Row Bury St Edmund's; Brighton Art Fair; Aldeburgh Gallery, Suffolk; The Red Dot Gallery The Garage Gallery Aldeburgh; Mall Galleries, London; Ipswich High Street Art Gallery; Sentinel Gallery, Wivenhoe; Ipswich Art Society; the John Russell Gallery, Ipswich; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and elsewhere.
