BELL, Amanda
Amanda Kaye Walker was born in Yorkshire in 1971. In 1996 she married Edward A. Bell and works as Amanda Bell. Amanda studied at Ipswich School of Art 1987-1989 under Ken Back and Richard Scott and, after gaining a Dip Art & Design, specialised in illustration at Cambridge Polytechnic, gaining a Higher National Diploma in 1992 and a teaching qualification in 2002 being awarded the Anna Airy award of the Ipswich Fine Art Club in 1992, for her prints of Ecuador. An artist and teacher working both in Halesworth, Suffolk and in Oxfordshire on a variety of subjects, landscapes, figures, portraits, and still-life with most of her work being done directly on the site but she may complete a piece in her studio. Her time is divided between painting and teaching at Woodbridge Art Club, also with the Chediston Art Group and Westleton Art Group. A member of the Southwold Art Circle and has completed various commissions from a 9ft mural of Provence to several paintings of family pets for private collections. She has also painted individual portraits in pastel, charcoal, and oil.
