COLEBROOK, Nigel
Nigel Ernest Colebrook was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1954, son of Ernest Bob Colebrook (14 September 1919-), boat builder, and his wife Elizabeth V. née Sadler (21 June 1918-), who married at Lowestoft in 1943. Nigel studied painting at the Norwich University of the Arts and has always been taken by the landscape as a subject, both as a figurative and abstract expression. Recently his work has become more focussed towards working with portraits and the figure in context. A freelance artist and a lecturer and section manager for Art and Design at Lowestoft College of Art. He married in the Waveney district in 1976, Mary A. Lanham. Nigel was a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1983-1984 from 108 Pakefield Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk and has exhibited widely including the Ferini Art Gallery at Pakefield, Lowestoft and has works in private collections world-wide.
